The pictures you see below refer to the Museum of mining and agricultural life (Museo di arte mineraria e civiltą contadina), which is unique in Europe. 

It is located in special wagons in the railway station of Villarosa (Enna, Sicily, Italy).

It is possible to see the rich collection, about 5,000 items, of objects used daily in sicilian mines and homes at the beginning of 20th century.

From Villarosa railway station you can reach the lake Morello, which is only a few kilometers away, the Gazzana spring, the Castle of Lombardia (Enna) and old sulphur mines near Villarosa.

In the station there is a restaurant (La Littorina) where you can eat tipical dishes. The railway station is surrounded by  a large wood. 

Villarosa is in the center of Sicily. It is possible to reach the railway station from Palermo or Catania.

If  you drive, take the highway A19, exit ponte Cinque Archi coming from Palermo (the Museum is nine kilometers away );

exit Enna if you come from Catania (the Museum is twelve kilometers away).

The Museum of Villarosa is twined with the anthropological Museum "Nello Cassata" at Barcellona (Sicily) which contains a collection of about 15,000 items and 45 workshops (telephon number ++39+90+9762629).
